What is KVN3
So Here’s What I’m Building (And Why)
The Short Version
KVN3 — or KrossVerses Network — is a Discord community and digital magazine for creators, fans, and anyone who makes stuff or wants to make stuff or simply for those that just want stuff to be made. Any medium. Any skill level. Any weird niche you’re into.
That’s it. That’s the thing.
But also... it’s more than that. And I’m going to try to explain why.
The Actual Problem I’m Trying to Solve
Okay so — if you’ve ever tried to start creating anything online, you probably already know how isolating it can be.
You’re supposed to build an audience. But also network with other creators. But also learn the algorithm. But also manage a Discord for your fans. But also post consistently. But also engage. But also collaborate. But also—
It’s a lot. And most of us are doing it completely alone.
And here’s the thing that really gets me: the few “creator networks” that exist? Most of them are built to profit off you, not grow with you. They take a cut. They make demands. They treat you like content instead of a person.
I watched Machinima do this to an entire generation of creators. And I’ve seen the pattern repeat in different forms ever since.
So I kept thinking — what if there was a space that actually worked differently?
What KVN3 Actually Is
It’s a publication. It’s a network. It’s a Discord server. That’s the core of it.
But it’s designed to be the kind of server I wish existed when I was starting out.
For Creators:
Instead of building your own Discord right away (which is exhausting and can derail your whole creative process), you can just... be part of this one. Tell your audience “come hang out in the network” instead of managing an entire community yourself before you’re ready.
You get access to:
A place to share your work and actually be seen
Collaboration boards to find other creators to work with
Voice channels for every group size (duos, trios, squads, raids, whatever)
Live notifications when you go live (if you sync your Twitch/YouTube)
Events, stages, watch parties, open mics — all that stuff
A community that’s actually trying to help each other instead of compete
For Fans and Enthusiasts:
You don’t have to be a creator. Honestly. If you just want to hang out, talk about games or anime or whatever weird thing you’re into, argue about fictional deathbattles, theory-craft, whatever — that’s completely valid.
This isn’t a place where you have to prove you “make content” to belong.
For Anyone Really:
The only requirement is that you’re not an asshole and you’re willing to be part of something where everyone’s success is everyone’s success.
The Neurodivergent Thing
I have so many issues. And one of the biggest reasons I’m building this the way I am is because most online spaces feel like they’re designed to overwhelm my brain.
So KVN3 is:
Forum-focused — so things stay organized and searchable instead of disappearing into endless chat scroll
Low clutter — clear paths, obvious labels, not fifty channels you’ll never use
No pressure — you don’t have to participate at any specific level to belong here
Built for different brains — because the “normal” way of doing things doesn’t work for everyone
If your brain works differently, this space is built with you in mind. And if your brain works “normally” (whatever that means), the structure will probably just make things easier anyway.
The Magazine (KrossVerses on Substack)
The other half of this is the Substack — KrossVerses.
Think of it as a digital magazine for literally anything in nerd/geek/fandom/gaming culture. Reviews, deep dives, what-if theories, deathbattle breakdowns, tech stuff, fanfiction, interviews, tier lists, lore explainers, hot takes, cold takes, lukewarm takes...
No limits on topic. The only limit is quality and passion.
If you want to write — like actually write, as something you care about or want to pursue — this could be a place for you to build a real portfolio with real published work.
Long-term I’d love for it to become a home for podcasts and actual-play shows too. But we’ll get there when we get there.
Everything posted to the Substack automatically shows up in the Discord, so the two halves stay connected.
The Philosophy (The Part That Actually Matters)
Here’s the thing I need you to understand:
This network is built to grow WITH you, not OFF you.
That means:
No one’s taking a cut of your work, we work together
No one’s making demands on what you create or how often
Your growth is the network’s growth — literally, that’s the whole point
Collaboration over competition, always
I want this to be a place where people can actually make money doing what they love — together. Where a music producer and a game dev can team up, do royalty splits instead of upfront costs, and both walk away with portfolio pieces and actual income.
Where in a year or two, you’ve built something real. Credits. Clips. Bylines. Connections. Stuff you can actually take with you.
Who This Is For
Creators at any stage (just starting, been doing it for years, thinking about starting, whatever)
Writers who want to publish real work
Podcasters or people who want to start podcasts
Game devs, musicians, artists, voice actors looking for collaborators
Fans who just want a cool community to hang out in
Anyone who’s tired of doing everything alone
Anyone whose brain doesn’t work the “normal” way
Anyone who wants to be part of something that’s not trying to exploit them
Who This Isn’t For
People who want to use the community without giving back
Anyone looking to exploit or take advantage of others
People who can’t handle the idea that everyone here matters equally
The Honest Part
I don’t have everything figured out. I’m not particularly skilled at the backend stuff, I’m terrible at explaining my thoughts (ironic, I know), and this whole thing is basically a pipe dream I’ve had since I was young.
But I keep coming back to it. Every time I hear about another creator getting screwed, every time I see someone burning out trying to do everything alone, every time I watch someone give up because they couldn’t figure out how to get seen...
I keep thinking: it doesn’t have to be like this.
So I’m building the thing. And I’m asking people to help me build it.
The community decides what we need. The community shapes what this becomes. I’m just the person who refuses to let it turn into another Machinima.
What Happens Next
Join the Discord. Introduce yourself. Lurk if you want — that’s fine too.
If you make stuff, share it. If you want to collaborate, say so. If you just want to hang out and talk about anime or games or whatever, do that.
We figure out the rest together.
